Bus and Light Rail
Elk Grove's e-tran bus service became part of SacRT in 2021 and includes commuter buses to downtown Sacramento. The SacRT Blue Line light rail currently ends at Cosumnes River College in south Sacramento. In April 2026 the Elk Grove City Council approved an extension of the line into the city, and funding and a construction schedule are not yet set.
